To remove mold from your bathroom ceiling, you can follow these steps:

1. Look for green, brown, or orange mold spots on your ceiling.
2. Stand on a footstool or stepladder to reach the mold.
3. Wear gloves, a mask, and eye protection.
4. Remove mold with vinegar, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or borax.
5. Spray the cleaning solution onto the mold, then let it sit for 10 minutes.
6. Wipe the mold away with a damp cloth.

You can also mix one part bleach and three parts water in a spray bottle and shake it up. Then spray the mixture onto the mold and let it sit for 10 minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.

Another way is to combine 2 cups of warm water with ¼ cup of TSP—trisodium phosphate—in a bucket or container. Saturate a sponge in the solution and wring out the excess mixture. Scrub the bathroom ceiling with the sponge. When the sponge becomes dirty, resaturate it in the solution. Continue scrubbing until all mold is gone.

In a plastic bucket, mix one-part dishwashing liquid, 10 parts bleach, and 20 parts water. To clean a small area of mold, mix a solution of one tablespoon dishwashing liquid, 1/2 cup chlorine bleach, and one cup of warm water in a spray bottle. The dishwashing liquid will help the solution cling to the ceiling longer to kill the mold.
